Just in case you are wondering, we’re making a few changes to the names of certain features and links. You’ll see them in the main menu. Instead of Flashes, we trying out “Check-Ins”. It seems to fit better. So for instance you “Check-In” when you post a picture of what you are doing. Then others can check out what you did. Let me know what you think. Do you like this better? Or do you like the old way better? Send me your thoughts Here or just share them on the site.

We received 42,000 pageviews and gained a lot of insight into new features. Thanks to everyone! Members created visual ways to communicate and new ways to express oneself (I have never seen anyway) such as this epic sword fight using our interactive Check-In feature. Hilarious. You can see it here. Unfortunately, I will be splitting time between this and a few other jobs, but visual communication in the form of Dida will move forward.

2. You should see a black or blank window above the “Take Picture” button. Right click on it.  Select Settings.

3.  Select the tab that looks like webcam. Use the pulldown menu to select your webcam. Try a couple if you aren’t sure which one is yours.

4.  Save time and have your camera activated automatically. Click on the Privacy tab and select “Allow” and check “Remember”.

We been working to improve service speed and improving how fast you can add images to your message. Thanks for your patience and all your help. Here’s what we’ve been working on.

  1. The Status/update window was overhauled to make it even faster and easier to create a picture message.
  2. We’ve added @Mentions.
  3. You can now add people to your “Field of View”. Your Field of view is based on how many people you add to it. The more people you have in it the bigger your field of view is.
  4. Tons of small fixes.

We simplified the interface and made it easier and faster to upload or webcam your images into YoDida. We’ve added a picture window and a Message field to make it easier to create your picture message too.

Mobile uploads were also added.  Now when you see someone or something interesting while out and about you can snap a mobile pic and quickly alert everyone on YoDida. Go to Settings from the Homepage and learn how to set up your mobile phone to post pictures and messages to YoDida.

We’ve removed a few features that were getting in the way of making YoDida easier and faster. If you liked using them sorry. Maybe we’ll bring them back in another form.

The last several months we’ve been in private R&D mode working with a select few to refine the best ways to use images in communications. We ‘ve added testers at the end of July and it’s been a blast seeing new faces and seeing people’s imagination at work. The first week of August we broke 10,000 Dida Updates and celebrated with a virtual party at YoDida.com (Search “cheers” to see it) .

    We are moving off the dev site and placing onto YoDida.com.  We’re currently looking to add a cross browser image message window to avoid browser issues, specifically with  EI8, and will add several new pages to enhance a member’s experience. Can’t wait to YoDida with more people!
